Huawei initiates smartwatch launch at MWC 2017

MWC 2017 has so far witnessed only the launch of smartphones. Making the exceptions, it has also witnessed a couple of tablets from the Korean tech giant. But the Chinese tech firm Huawei has launched its Huawei Watch 2 at the MWC 2017. This is the first time in MWC 2017 that smartwatch is launched. As this is the beginning of the event, we may encounter with many such gadgets. Let us have a look at the specs.

The new Huawei Watch 2 sports a 1.2-inch display with AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and a pixel ratio of 390 x 390. The device runs on Android Wear 2.0. Speaking of the processor, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor along with 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB internal memory. This memory cannot be expanded further.

Moving towards the connectivity part, the new Huawei Watch 2 features GPS, Bluetooth, as well as WLAN. The watch is available in three different versions—carbon black, dynamic orange, and concrete grey.

Speaking of the imaging duties, the new Huawei Watch 2 does not have a camera. The device runs on a 420mAh battery as well. The watch can run for 48 hours on a single charge. Other features of the watch include mp3 player, fast charging, voice dial/commands, and photo viewer.

Well, even though the Watch offers limited features, it can be a good device for the beginners. Well, the watch is not so good enough to replace the traditional Android Wear by Google.
