This Week in Woodbridge

Monday will be the big day in Woodbridge this week. At 6 PM, the Beecher Road School Parent Teacher Organization will hold a meeting where school Superintendent Dr. Guy Stella will talk about the proposed 2010-2011 school budget. As with the previous PTO meeting, there will be babysitting for children during the meeting where pizza will be provided. Some kids are excited about this and are speaking with other kids to encourage them to ask their parents to attend the PTO meeting so they can eat pizza with their friends at the school.

Also at 6 PM on Monday, the Library Commission will hold its monthly meeting at the Woodbridge Room in the public Library. Bruce Tuthill, AIA, is scheduled to speak about property and maintenance at the Library.

At 6:30 PM, the Amity Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting at the presentation room in the district offices and a 7 PM the Finance Committee of the Woodbridge Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting in the Woodbridge District Office Conference Room at Beecher Road School.

At 7:30 PM in the central meeting room of the town hall, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold its meeting. On the agenda is a request to put up a free standing sign at 990 Racebrook Road by the Church of Latter Day Saints.

The rest of the week looks like it will be pretty quiet. People looking for some entertainment are encouraged to attend a viewing of Where the Wild Things Are at the public library on Thursday evening or Cloudy with a Chance of Meetballs at the Library Saturday afternoon.
