Woodbridge Ice Skating Rink Open
Submitted by Elia Alexiades on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 00:43
Families enjoyed skating on the ice rink on this sunny Sunday afternoon. The rink is adjacent to the Fitzgerald walking trails in the town center Members of the Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association tested the Department's new tanker truck and flooded the rink with water earlier this year. The ice was nice and smooth thanks to the frigid temps.

Those of us who grew up in town remember skating on ponds around town, including Rice's Pond next to Center Field and Paulson's pond on Seymour Road. We also had Clark's rink on the Burnt Swamp. Those days are long gone, but youngsters can still skate outdoors on our town rink.
