With the public schools on vacation this week, various meetings regularly scheduled have been changed to different dates. The Amity Board of Education, which normally would have met on April 12th, held their monthly meeting a week early. The Library commission which also would normally have met on Monday has pushed its monthly meeting back to April 19th. The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the regularly scheduled time, 7:30 at the Town Hall. They will consider two variances for additions and a variance for a sign.

The Public Library will hold various special events during the week, including a Vacation Week Matinee of A Dog’s Tale on Tuesday at 2 PM and a magic show on Wednesday at 2 PM.

The Board of Selectmen should hold their regular meeting at 6 PM on Wednesday at the Town Hall. The Board of Finance should hold their regular meeting at 6 PM on Thursday at the Town Hall, with the Conservation Commission scheduled to meet at 7:30 in the Town Hall Board Room.

The Investment Commission is reported to be meeting on Thursday at the Town Hall as well, but no details are available yet on the Town Hall website.

For two other special events this week, the Nutmeg Symphonic Pops Orchestra is holding at benefit concert for Haiti at 3 PM at Yale Battell Chapel, and the documentary “Threads”, about Holocaust survivor and New Haven Tailor Sidney Glucksman will premier at the Jewish Community Center at 7 PM on Wednesday.
