Benefit Concert
On Monday, January 18, the Yale community will present “Help Can’t Wait Haiti,” a benefit concert for earthquake relief. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Woolsey Hall, corner College and Grove streets. Performers include the Yale Bands, Yale Glee Club, Yale Symphony Orchestra, Yale Gospel Choir, Shades, Whim 'N Rhythm, the Whiffenpoofs, Schola Cantorum and others.
Tickets are $20, or $10 for students, or you may donate as much as you wish. 100% of the monies collected will go to the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Doctors without Borders, Americares, or the United Nations, which have begun the work of delivering humanitarian aid, service and supplies. The entire cost of your ticket and any additional contribution is tax-deductible. Advance tickets may be purchased today, January 15, at the Yale School of Music box office, located in Sprague Memorial Hall, 470 College St. The box office is open until 5 pm today and accepts cash, credit cards, and checks payable to Yale University. Tickets are also available through the Yale School of Music website, www.music.yale.edu.
On Monday evening the box office will move to Woolsey Hall and will open at 6:30 pm. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at the door. We hope you will attend and donate generously.
